Yukon Quest Package I 3 nights/ 4 days I Whitehorse area

Get excited with the dogs as they get ready to race 1,000 miles along the winter landscape to Fairbanks, Alaska. This tour includes the start of the Yukon Quest race in Whitehorse and the chance to experience what some of the teams will be going through on their journey.

Package Includes 3 nights accommodation at downtown hotel, 2 evenings of aurora viewing tours, full day dog sledding adventure, and airport shuttle service.

Not included in the package; Transportation to and from Whitehorse, meals, personal extras, gratuities, winter clothing & travel insurance.

Day One

Arrive in Whitehorse, Capital City of the Yukon Territory.

Transfer to your hotel located in the heart of the city, not far from the banks of the Yukon River. Whitehorse is small and easy to explore on foot or by vehicle.

Day Two

Today you will join in with the rest of the dog lovers as they gather at the starting line of the Yukon Quest to cheer on the teams as they depart on the 1,000 mile race to Fairbanks, Alaska. The Yukon Quest is a true test of the capacity of humans and canines and a tribute to the bond they share. In the evening you will be transferred to a specialized aurora viewing location where you can keep an eye out for the dancing Northern Lights.

Day Three

It is time to try out the historic event for yourself. Spend the day learning about the dog sledding culture and how to mush your own team through the snow. Enjoy the landscape and feel the dogs' excitement as you race through the forested trails. Relax by a warm campfire with a hot beverage in the evening as you take part in a second night of aurora viewing.

Day Four

Today is departure day. Take the shuttle back to the airport and say farewell to the winter wonderland.
