Yukon Quest Adventure Package I 5 nights/ 6 days I Whitehorse area

Cheer on the dog sled teams as they get ready at the start line to begin their 1,000 mile journey through the cold winter landscape to Fairbanks, Alaska. Enjoy some winter adventure with your own team of dogs and several of the other activities that make this territory a wonderful winter playground.

Package Includes 5 nights accommodation downtown hotel, 2 evenings of aurora viewing tours, Wildlife Preserve and Hot Springs Tour, full day dog sledding, full day snowmobiling or a second day dog sledding, and airport shuttle service.

Not included in the package; Transportation to and from Whitehorse, meals, personal extras, gratuities, winter clothing & travel insurance.

Day One

Arrive in Whitehorse, Capital City of the Yukon Territory.

Transfer to your hotel located in the heart of the city, not far from the banks of the Yukon River. Whitehorse is small and easy to explore on foot or by vehicle. In the evening there is the option to add the Yukon Quest Start and Draw Banquet where you can celebrate the start of the race, enjoy a buffet dinner, live entertainment and watch the draw for the musher start order!

Day Two

Today will be a calm day of exploring the city and visiting the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and Hot springs. Learn about and watch some local wildlife in their natural habitat before warming up and relaxing in the hot mineral waters of the hot springs. In the evening you will be transferred to an aurora viewing location away from the city lights where you can keep an eye out for the magical Northern Lights.

Day Three

In the morning, grab some coffee and breakfast at one of the local cafes before making your way to the starting line of the Yukon Quest. Experience the excitement from dogs and humans alike. Join in with the crowd as they cheer on the teams before their long journey across the frozen landscape.

Day Four

Go on your own winter mushing adventure. Learn all about the mushing culture of the north as you prepare your own team to explore the snowy trails. The excitement from the dogs will spread to you while you are racing through the trails in a winter wonderland.

Day Five

Another popular way to get around the trails of winter countryside is by machine. Snowmobiling is another winter activity that many Yukoner's enjoy while trying to keep the cold months exciting. The evening will be calm and relaxing as you watch for the aurora again from the warmth of a campfire.

Day Six

Today is departure day. You will be transferred back to the airport and can say farewell to the magic of the North!
